Introduction

The MAPS Optical Turbulence Generator is an MPIA instrument, which simulates an array of stars as seen at 8-m class telescope's focal plane.

Some of the MAPS phase screens were designed with the MPIA Turbulence Simulator TurbuLenZ Software.
