Aims and Scope
|
|
The goal of
this school is to provide a state-of-the-art overview about the
research in the field of
Extrasolar Planets and Planetary Systems.
Besides an introduction about the history of this research field,
questions
about the search for extrasolar planets, their formation in
protostellar disks and about the solar system will be discussed.

The number of
participants is limited to about 50-60 students. For this reason we ask
each applicant for a brief description (~3-5 sentences) about their
motivation (research interests, etc.).
Application Deadline: June 15, 2005.

The decision about acceptance will be announced by the end of June.

Costs

Registration
fee (successful participant): 100 Euro
Cost for lodging and meals will
be covered by the Wilhelm und Else
Heraeus -
Stiftung.
Lodging will be provided for the duration of the Physics school in the
Physikzentrum (where also the lectures will be given).
