The conference is held at the Max-Planck-Institut für Astronomie in Heidelberg. The institute is situated at the top of the hill Königstuhl above the main city of Heidelberg.

Transportation to MPIA

Conference bus
A bus has been arranged to bring the participants from downtown Heidelberg to the MPIA at Königstuhl. The bus will leave from the bus stop at the corner of Bergheimerstr./Bismarckplatz (orientir: bus-stop near Citybank, Cafe Gecko) at 12:15 on Monday. On Tuesday it leaves at 08:15 from the same bus stop. A map you can see here.

Public transport
The public bus 21 leaves every whole hour from Bismarckplatz towards Königstuhl. One should get off at the stop Landessternwarte from where you can walk to MPIA in 5 minutes. The bus goes back to the city once per hour, on half past the hour.

Taxi
A taxi to MPIA will cost around 10 euros from downtown. Taxis can always be found at Bismarckplatz.
