During the conference there will be two social events. On Sunday 5 October there will be a gathering in a restaurant in Heidelberg for the participants that arrive early.

Anyone already in Heidelberg on Sunday night are welcome to come to the Restaurant/Bar Havanna in the central town from 18.30. A table is booked in the name of Kim Nilsson. This gives an opportunity to socialise a little before the start of the conference and meet the locals. Havanna offers a large menue of Spanish/Cuban dishes, but also a large cocktail list and other non-alcoholic drinks. The location is Neckarstaden 24 in the Altstadt, half way between the Bismarckplatz and the Old Bridge along the river.

The conference dinner will be held on Tuesday 7 October at the Heidelberg Schloss, one of the main tourist attractions in Heidelberg. Situated half way up the Königstuhl mountain it has a breath-taking view over the Neckar river and the central parts of Heidelberg. The castle, almost completely in ruins, has been rebuilt many times over the centuries but the oldest parts are from the 13th century. It is possible to bring an accompanying person(s) to the dinner, but the dinner for this person will cost 50 Euro. Please announce this intention with an e-mail to the organisers.
