Movie of 2-D model of disk around a Herbig Ae/Be star

Shown here is an animation of the disk model of the above mentioned paper. Only the flaring disk is shown (in the paper also other disk geometries are described). The color is logarithmic intensity. At the beginning of the movie the two hot surface layers are clearly seen, making the typical "hamburger shape". As one moves in, the intensity becomes brighter, and finally the bright inner rim is seen. Due to the logarithmic color coding the contrast between rim and disk behind it is not very well seen. This can be seen better in linear color.
