Some movies of 2-D axisymmetric PP disks
Flaring disk model (grep opacity) (from paper Dullemond, A&A 395, 853-862
(2002))
Disk with big gap (grep opacity) (not published, but still copyright!)
Movie of time-dependent dust settling in a disk
(from paper Dullemond & Dominik, 2004, A&A 421, 1075)
Time-dependent dust settling (preliminary
version; could look bad when viewed via Mozilla).
Note here that the time in the movie is in fact LOG(REAL_TIME), because dust
settling in the inner regions goes much faster than in the outer regions
and in linear time the movie would take too long to cover all time scales!
Image sequences flaring & self-shadowed disks
(from paper Dullemond & Dominik, 2004, A&A 417, 159)
These image sequences show the difference in appearance of flaring disks
versus self-shadowed disks. The left image sequence is for different
inclination (at 20 micron, using a logarithmic color coding spanning 10^6 in intensity).
The right image sequence is for different wavelengths
(inclination 45 degrees, using a logarithmic color coding spanning 10^6 in intensity).
IMPORTANT NOTE: These movies and image sequences
may be used freely, but only under the condition that proper references are
made (either to the corresponding paper, or to this web location, including
author name(s)).
