Tom Herbst

Hello. My name is Tom Herbst. I am a staff astronomer and Research Group Leader at the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy in Heidelberg, Germany.

My major scientific interests are in star formation, high angular resolution astronomy, and instrumentation. I am also involved in several large projects, including the SDSS-V Local Volume Mapper, the  Large Binocular Telescope, and the European Extremely Large Telescope..
