Welcome! I am a group leader in the APEx department of the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy in Heidelberg, Germany.

Our “atmospheric modeling and retrieval” group focuses on models that uncover the atmospheric structure of cloudy gas giant planets. For this we compare our predictions of atmospheric spectra to observations of the world’s most sensitive instruments, including JWST, HST, VLTI-GRAVITY and CRIRES.

On this website you find some information about me, our group’s research, team members, and the software we employ, chiefly petitRADTRANS.
