Abstract:
Protoplanetary disks are cornerstones for star and planet formation theory. Several studies of star-forming regions have inferred disks’ frequencies and properties in the past, providing vital information to understand how planetary systems are formed and evolve. We have compiled a large sample (>2000 objects) of spectroscopically confirmed young stellar objects in 12 nearby star-forming regions, and queried different catalogues for available photometry. The homogeneous treatment of the sample and big number statistics allow for the first coherent comparison of disk fractions as a function of age, mass and environment. In this contribution we discuss the results from our study.
