About me:
I'm a theoretical astrophysicist and currently work as a post-doc at the Max Planck Institute of Astronomy in Heidelberg, Germany. Day by day I sit a front of my computer and peer into the display, trying to unravel mysteries of creation of our Solar system. Major questions which I try to answer, using both sophisticated theoretical calculations and high-quality observations at radio frequencies are 1) processes leading to the birth and death of molecules in a protosolar nebula at the verge of planet formation, 2) analysis and interpretation of molecular emission lines that we see, and 3) predictions of what we may learn about planet-forming disks with future generation of radio telescopes, such as Atacama Large Millimeter Array (ALMA). During las few years, I've developed a number of useful codes and tools that allows to model and analize cosmic chemistry, make fancy plots and diagrams, and more. You can learn more about my research projects and download some of my software from this web site.
Research:
- Chemical evolution of protoplanetary disks
- Radiative transfer in molecular lines
- Interferometric observations at sub-millimeter wavelengths
