Research (under construction)

My primary research interest is the formation and evolution of early-type galaxies, in particular between z=1 and the present day, and, through collaborations, in various other topics ranging from the morphological mix of the local galaxy population to Lyman-break galaxies at z=6. More specifically, I have been or am currently working on:

- The evolution of the zeropoint and tilt of the Fundamental Plane (more info)

- The optical/IR spectral energy distributions of high-redshift early types

- The Faint InfraRed Extragalactic Survey (FIRES)

- i-dropouts, galaxies at z>4

- The morphology-density relation and its evolution

- NICMOS imaging of z>2 red galaxies

- Strong lensing in high-redshift clusters

- Resolved stellar kinematics at high redsfhit

- Near-IR continuum/absorption line spectroscopy at z~1.5

- The evolution of absorption line strengths between z=0 and z=1
