The IMPRS seminar provides a central meeting opportunity for all IMPRS students in order to exchange ideas and experience from different research areas.
After the two IMPRS semester seminars during the first academic year of a student, the IMPRS continues in the second years as a seminar workshop, held as an external retreat for about three days. Students present an update of there thesis projects.
The seminar workshop for the 3rd-generation students took place at the Naturkolleg Hirzwald in St. Georgen, March 11-13, 2008, under the supervison of Ch. Fendt and A. Just.
We had two invited speakers: Dr. Martin Zwaan from ESO Garching talked about ESO and career opportunities at ESO and Dr. Sascha Quanz from McKinsey Corp. introduced to working conditions and job opportunities at McKinsey. Thank you, Martin and Sascha!!!
