About Me

I am currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy in Heidelberg, Germany, where I work with Eva Schinnerer and Glenn van de Ven on science planning for the forthcoming LINC-NIRVANA instrument, as well as projects related to compact stellar systems (such as globular clusters, UCDs, and cEs) and galaxy formation.

Previously I was a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Physics and Astronomy of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the USA, where I worked with Sheila Kannappan on the RESOLVE survey.

I undertook my PhD in the Department of Physics of the University of Durham, UK, under the supervision of Prof. Ray Sharples.

My research focusses on the study of the formation of early type galaxies, the so-called red-and-dead galaxies that are mostly spheroidal in shape, red in colour, and not currently forming stars.
