I am a postdoc in the Gaia group of Coryn Bailer-Jones at the MPIA.
My research is focussed on the calibration of stellar-parameter estimation from optical spectra.
Apart from that, I have also been working on galaxy morphologies, their mathematical description and their unsupervised classification.
Furthermore, I worked on the methodological problems of detecting exoplanets in radial-velocity data.
Last but not least, I am keenly interested in modern statistical methods for the tasks of parameter estimation, model comparison and classification.
