The Visitor Colloquium
is a forum for particular scientific talks of
visitors of our institute. Particular means that
the speakers should be very good and must provide
a broad picture of the proposed topic, rather
than presenting a very specific work.
We thus kindly ask the speaker to give a broad introduction and
make the topic understandable by people working in both departments with
different backgrounds/interests.
The Visitor Colloquium takes
place on Monday
afternoons at 15:15 in the lecture hall at
MPIA. It should last about 45 min followed by
discussion. The colloquium is open to listeners
from all astronomy departments in Heidelberg.
The Colloquium is accompanied by
the availability of coffee, tea and biscuits from
15:00.
If you have a visitor who would like to give a talk, please read
the guidelines at the bottom of this page.
