Proposals for
observations at the ESO/MPG 2.2m telescope on LaSilla for P85 are
solicited. Four observing periods have been allocated to MPIA
programmes in the April - September 2010 period. Please use the

and a template
for applications for observing time. Please submit your proposal (pdf
file) to the
email address proposal_at_mpia.de.
The application deadline
is August 15, 2010, 24:00 GMT. Other means of
proposal submission are not
accepted. All other correspondence should be directed to the email
address gredel at mpia.de.
Observing programmes scheduled during MPIA may be interrupted by
GROND/ToO triggers from the GROND group at the MPE, unless otherwise
flagged in the observing schedule. Please see rules for ToO
interrupts at
the 2.2m telescope.
The 2.2m-telescope on La
Silla is a twin of the 2.2m-telescope on Calar
Alto. A new agreement between MPIA and ESO is in place, and regulates
access to the telescope during the April 1, 2009 - March 31, 2013,
period. The GROND group can trigger up to
15% of the time
with over-write status during this time.
The instruments available are the Wide-Field Imager, FEROS and GROND. Users of GROND please see GROND description
and preparation
of GROND OBs.
