Numerical lab block course

This lecture is intended for students of Bachelor of Physics in their 3.-5. semester. However, participants from other courses of study (Master) and higher semesters are welcome.

We encourage to form teams of two students for the submission of the exercises!

Language:

German / English, if requested

Prerequisites:

Basic knowledge of mathematics and physics, at least basics of one programming language (e.g. C, Fortran, C++).

Daily routine:

  • Monday only: start 10 am!!!  
  • 09:15 - 09:45: Discussion of the exercise from the previous day (students and tutor) 
  • 09:45 - 11:15: Introduction into the new topic (lecturer) 
  • 11:15 - 11:30: Break 
  • 11:30 - 13:00: Exercise with support of the tutor and lecturers  
  • Afternoon: independent working time for students.

Credit Points:

3 Credit Points for successful participation of the exercises (60% of the possible points) and presentation of at least one solution.
