Celebrating 30 Years of Protoplanetary Disk Chemistry: past, present, and future
The aim of the workshop is to bring together around 50 researchers working on various aspects of protoplanetary disk chemistry including observations, modelling, and experiments in conjunction with researchers working on chemistry in the interstellar medium, star and disk formation and evolution, and planet formation.

Our goals are to reflect on the stellar (pardon the pun) increase in our knowledge in this field over the past 30 years, and to discuss open questions, how to bring together the wealth of observations available to understand how chemistry impacts, and is impacted by, star and planet formation, and how to leverage current, planned, and future observatories. We plan to dedicate plenty of time in the schedule to discussion, both in a formal and informal setting, which is well facilitated by Schloss Ringberg. There will also be a small celebration of the 20-year anniversary of the “Chemistry In Disks” collaboration led by Anne Dutrey and Thomas Henning.
