In recent years, Gaia has already enabled many groundbreaking results in astrophysics with its astrometric accuracy. In the third data release, which was published in June this year, 220 million spectra were added for the first time. These spectra make it possible, for example, to measure the distances of quasars or to identify young stars which then reveal the spiral arms of the Milky Way.
