This video shows a functional test of the MIRI filter wheel (qualification model) as mounted in the MIRI instrument on board the James Webb Space Telescope. Together with partners, MPIA designed, manufactured, and tested this filter wheel in its own laboratories and construction department. At the top of this assembly, the latch holds the wheel's optical elements in the position required for MIRI camera operation.
