Venue

The conference will be held at the Haus der Astronomie (June 22-26, 2026) at Königstuhl 17, 69117 Heidelberg.

We have arranged for a bus to take participants to/from the conference venue. 

We will have a social afternoon on Wednesday.

Travel to Heidelberg

If you are traveling by air, the closest international airport is Frankfurt (FRA). Instructions for traveling from Frankfurt airport to Heidelberg are provided here.

Bus connection

From Heidelberg to MPIA:

Bus 30 (Science Bus), direction MPIA
Peterskirche – MPI für Astronomie (ca. 12 min)
The Science Bus 30 is a direct connection between Altstadt (Old Town) and MPIA. 

Departure from Peterskirche:  

8.00h,  8:32h, 9:07h, 9.32h, 10:02h, 10.32h, 11.02h, 11.32h, 12.32h, 14.32h, ... then every hour until 19.32h

Bus 39, direction Königstuhl
Bismarckplatz (Platform G) – Sternwarte (travel time ca. 40 min)
Leave bus at Sternwarte and walk (10 min) to MPIA
Departures: Bus runs on the hour from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. (daily),
on weekdays also at 8:43 a.m.

From MPIA to Heidelberg:

For Monday to Thursday evening we will charter buses that will bring you to ... details will follow.

Bus 30 MPIA - Peterskirche leaves MPIA every hour at XX.48h

Exception: At 13.48h bus 30 will take you to the bus stop Friedrich-Ebert-Platz (which is one stop more than Peterskirche).

Bus 39 starts every hour at XX.32h from bus stop Sternwarte to Bismarckplatz
