Curriculum Vitae
Samantha is an astronomer working for the IAU Office of Astronomy for Education (OAE) as a postdoctoral researcher since 2023. Originally from Mexico, she moved to Europe to do a master's degree as part of the Erasmus Mundus Astromundus programme, during which she spent time in Austria, Germany, and Italy, before returning to Germany to pursue her PhD at MPIA. Her research has focused on the search and characterisation of exoplanets and circumstellar disks, using different techniques such as transits, eclipse timing variations, and high-contrast imaging. Throughout her studies, she has participated in several outreach activities and given various tutorials. This interest in science and education led her to join the OAE.
